About the role… The Director of Creator Community will be responsible for developing ShopMy's approach to instilling a sense of community among our 70,000+ creators. This individual will sit within ShopMy's Creator Experience business unit and will build a community strategy from the ground up, ensuring we successfully connect our creators in ways that align with their goals, enhancing their overall experience of ShopMy.

The role will involve creating both in-person and online spaces where creators can interact and learn from each other. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong grasp of ShopMy's value to creators, knowing how, when, and where to engage our creators for maximum impact. Exceptional organizational and creative skills are essential to deliver a community strategy that inspires and further activates our creator base.

Roles and responsibilities… Establish a new function, leading a comprehensive community strategy to engage creators, with a focus on driving activation,retention and advocacy in our creator base Develop a deep understanding of ShopMy's creator base and the spaces where they spend their time to ensure ShopMy's communities are hosted in spaces where our creators 'live' Oversee the planning and execution of community-focused initiatives aimed at connecting creators in ways that meet their desire for connection (e.g. driving the ideation behind in-app collaborative features, creating virtual spaces for creators to connect off-platform e.g. in WhatsApp Communities, planning and hosting in-person meetups and events etc.) Develop a strategy to actively gather insights from creators in our community spaces Continuously monitor the effectiveness of community-focused initiatives, using data and feedback to refine strategies and improve engagement and participation rates Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product & Engineering, Creator Insights and Creator Relations & Support, to align community efforts with broader company objectives  Establish and monitor key performance indicators that measure the effectiveness of Community initiatives, refining strategies in response to the data gathered Our non-negotiables… Proven experience (6+ years) in community management, developing both online and offline community initiatives, ideally within a high-growth technology or digital platform environment. Demonstrated ability to think creatively, as well as the ability to transform ideas into reality, executing and effectively driving results  Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively Skilled in strategic planning, budget allocation, and budget management A strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset, capable of leveraging insights to continuously improve community initiatives Passion for the creator economy and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by creators Comfort using learning & enablement technology (Canva, Figma, Microsoft Suite, Google Docs, Loom, PopSQL) In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is as shown. We note that salary information as a general guideline only, actual compensation may vary from posting based on the offer for this role, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, key skills, education, training and business considerations. 

New York Pay Range
$130,000—$170,000 USD ShopMy offers a bundle of benefits on top of being a great place to work.
