Job Title: Director, Decision IntelligenceWork location: Irving, TX (Hybrid role)
Job Summary Director, Decision Intelligence (DI) is responsible for executing McKesson's Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSaS) data strategy in alignment with business strategy and priorities. He/she will lead data management and architecture for one of the segments within PSAS related solutions to ensure long term ability to drive business outcomes with data. This role drives execution of all DI priorities defined by business leaders for the portfolio including lights on and investment related efforts. The successful candidate will have the perfect blend of business acumen, in-depth knowledge of data science and AI technologies along with strong leadership skills to deliver innovative digital solutions that enable effective decision making.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Accountable for leading teams to deliver on PSaS's innovative DI solutions by translating data into insights and intelligence that drive critical business decisions related to PSAS.Lead the development and execution of data-driven products and analytics strategies to drive business growth and enhance customer experience.Focus on scalability, reliability, and effectiveness in driving data-driven transformation with emphasis on advanced technologies such as machine learning, AI technologies, cloud data platforms (e.g., DataBricks, Snowflake, Azure), and modern data architecture.Own end-to-end product lifecycle, roadmap, feature enablement and engage with customers to communicate risks, issues, and dependencies.Lead the teams that identify and drive execution of all the key activities/product roadmap needed to implement the use cases (from requirements to solution adoption) by working with cross-functional teams and create transparency on scope, timelines, key milestones.Create analytics solutions for managing various business needs with different customer profiles such as health systems, retail & community pharmacies, providers and manufacturers.Lead estimation of the cost to deliver the solution and the quantifiable benefits it is creating for the business.Focus on customer centricity to guide matrixed teams through the design and development of data products by iterative Agile approach.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data technology to identify new opportunities for product development and improvement.Utilize data analysis and modeling techniques to identify key insights and make data-driven recommendations for business decisions.Manage the development and maintenance of data products, including data governance, data quality, and data security.Build and cultivate a talented analytics delivery team that attracts, develops and retains talent.Foster a high-performing, diverse and inclusive team culture.Critical Requirements:We seek an accomplished leader, with demonstrated success in leading large teams and transforming companies to be data-driven, leveraging advances in technology & analytics.
Over 12 years of experience in data and analytics, with a minimum of 5 years in the healthcare sector and in people management roles.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience; OR – Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience.At least 8 years of experience in Data Lake, Data Warehousing, and Data Analytics solutions. Minimum of 5 years of cloud data engineering experience in at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP). Proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing, and building high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines.Knowledge of software development, data engineering, and systems architecture. Experience designing, implementing, and managing internal/external resources to deliver data-driven products.Experience building analytic products on cloud platform or DB engines such as Snowflake and Databricks. Proficient in visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.Proven experience in managing complex projects and portfolios to achieve business outcomes in large-scale organizations, especially through significant change management and transformations.Excellent team management, coaching, and mentoring abilities. Superior planning, process, and influencing skills.Deep knowledge of advanced analytics and AI technologies and methodologies. Proven experience in translating big data into actionable outcomes in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries.Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, think creatively, and use data to tell a story that influences senior-level stakeholders.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills across all levels of management. Ability to translate technical terms into business insights.Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and build partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.Minimum Requirements: Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 5+ years of experience in healthcare, experience leading large data product projects and diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills.

Relocation is not budgeted for this role.We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Base Pay Range for this position:$137,000 - $228,400
