The Role The Director, Demand Generation will lead our demand generation initiatives, working closely with a small team to drive inbound growth and increase market awareness. This role requires a growth leader with a strong understanding of complex B2B sales cycles, platform selling, and the ability to communicate complex value propositions to a specialized market segment across multiple channels, including via external communities. This is a hands-on role where you'll be directly involved in creating and executing strategies, experimenting with new ideas, and working closely with sales and other teams to fuel our growth. This is an ideal opportunity for a first-time director. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. THE POSITION IS BASED IN SAN MATEO, CA. QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO OUR OFFICE AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK. Responsibilities: Lead and execute demand generation by working with leadership, corporate and product marketing, and the VP, Corporate Marketing to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns to attract and nurture leads and opportunities.Experiment with new channels and tactics to find what works best for our growth.Campaign engine setup: craft, launch, and regularly report on the impact of targeted multi-step/channel marketing campaigns. Implement marketing workflows/nurtures, cross-team execution, and measurements.Lead digital marketing efforts to acquire new leads, effectively engage them, and nurture them through the sales funnel.Drive growth through community engagement across events and online activities, supporting our target market's early adopters, champions, and influencers.Account-based growth: drive account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives across penetration and funnel acceleration. Focus on helping prioritize, create joint sales-marketing programs, and penetrate key accounts with tailored programs.Hands-on collaboration working closely with marketing, SDR leader, and CMO/CRO to align strategies, ensure smooth handoffs and strong funnel acceleration, coordinate efforts, and share insights.Directly manage one.Requirements:6+ years in demand generation or marketing roles, preferably in B2B SaaS or a tech or startup environment, working on platforms.Growth mindset with a proven track record of driving growth through innovative marketing strategies and a willingness to experiment, learn, and adapt quickly.Skilled in managing multiple projects and coordinating across teams.Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills.Organized and able to keep initiatives on track and schedule.Experience working closely with sales teams to align on goals and strategies.Background in IT/high tech/CRM and RevOps industry knowledge a plusEducation: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.Base Salary Range - $155,000 - $165,000 determined by the individual's experience level.
