Whether the job entails interacting with our customers, driving digital growth, or providing vital behind-the-scenes support, we're all here for the same reason – to roll up our sleeves and create happiness through cooking and sharing good food.   The Director, Divisional Merchandising Manager & Product Development, contributes to the success of Sur La Table as a visionary with responsibility for developing and implementing merchandising strategies for the Entertaining Division across all channels which will maximize business performance and profitability.? They are also responsible for leading the Product Development team that supports all categories.? The position is based in Seattle, follows our hybrid work schedule, and reports to the SVP of Merchandising. 
\n What you get to do every day: Leadership Drive merchandising and product development strategies aligned with company goals and customer preferences.? Lead, mentor, and develop a team of merchants to enhance performance while fostering creativity, accountability and professional growth.? Collaborate with marketing, creative, store operations, ecommerce, finance, planning and merchandising to accomplish sales, margin, inventory and service objectives? Contribute to strategic planning and manage key elements of the merchandising and product development P&L.? Oversee special projects and initiatives as needed? Merchandising Develop and execute divisional merchandise strategies across all channels, including product assortment, private label development, and promotional plans, to deliver on sales, margin & inventory budgets? Ensure alignment of merchandising efforts across channels (stores, e-commerce, and culinary programs) and improve the product mix to ensure profitability and alignment with customer demands.? Leverage data insights to refine promotional, pricing, and inventory strategies? Source and maintain relationships with high-quality, cost-effective vendors.? Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to maximize profitability and supply chain efficiency.? Product Development Lead the product development team and drive the entire product lifecycle, from concept development to launch, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and customer needs.? Collaborate with design resources, sourcing partners and merchants to create innovative and high-quality products? Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, gaps in the market, collaborators and opportunities for new product introductions? Develop and maintain a robust product roadmap that prioritizes customer satisfaction and revenue growth? Ensure brand relevancy through passion for fashion, design, and trend analysis.?   ? What you bring to the role: 8+ years of proven senior merchandising experience in a multi-location, multi-channel retail environment.? Track record of driving revenue growth and positioning organizations for success? Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and financial acumen.? Proven leadership and team development skills? Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities? Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs with a focus on Excel & PowerPoint? Experience with creating budgets, monitoring costs, and using internal and external resources effectively and in a fiscally responsible manner.?
