The Director of E-Commerce will be responsible for driving Batteries Plus e-commerce merchandising strategy and execution and consumer experience strategy for our e-commerce business. Responsibilities: Set the strategic vision for the eCommerce business partnering closely with key stakeholders across the organization to build the eCommerce user experience, features, UX/UI enhancements, and functionality roadmap for the site. Be the key voice in setting priorities on the roadmap. Develop overall eCommerce business strategy and direct related tactical activities with full P&L responsibility for the eCommerce business unit. Translate customer data, site analytics, and testing results into actionable site improvements that increase conversion rates, average order value, retail tickets, customer LTV, and overall revenue growth. Define and lead the CRO strategy for the site. Lead the merchandising, promotions, and testing strategies that drive engagement and sell-through. Build out the plans to increase AOV, attach rate, cross-category selling, and other key CRO metrics. Be a key contributor to the personalization strategy and roadmap for the site. Define and drive accountability to business KPIs and measurement frameworks across the team. Partner cross-functionally on the integration of eCommerce to develop multi-channel strategies while increasing brand and product awareness through the website. Transform omnichannel touchpoints and intelligence (behavior) to create new opportunities. Direct and implement an omnichannel strategy for bridging the gap between online and offline experience. Provide strategic oversight and relentlessly optimize the digital customer experiences. Partner with the merchandising team to enhance content and execute processes that support the vision and strategy of the department. Provide oversight on website testing strategy in collaboration with marketing and merchandising business owners. Ensure data and analytics are key drivers in our product feature development roadmap. Regularly monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and other best-in-class online retailers to identify and implement solutions that support optimized site performance and sales growth. Lead a high-performing team to plan, design, develop, and execute e-commerce capabilities, providing strategic and day-to-day direction, training, supervision and development of department staff. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Computer Science or a related field. 7 or more years of e-commerce experience. 3 or more years of supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated excellence in forecasting and analytics. Proficient in using common analytics tools (GA4) and A/B testing platforms. Retail and/or franchise experience is preferred but not required. Demonstrated problem-solving skills; Duties require forecasting, broad conceptual judgment, initiative, and ability to deal with complex factors and ideas not easily evaluated. Must make decisions based on conclusions for which there is little precedent. Strong organizational skills. Ability to independently with general oversight, plan and establish priorities to meet deadlines with good control and results, able to develop and follow-up on plans and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment. Strongly motivated with a sense of urgency and drive to achieve. Continuous improvement mindset. Demonstrated consumer-centric thinking. Responsibility to work autonomously, collaboratively, and in a team environment. Ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas effectively using both oral and written means. Proven ability to make presentations to senior management, groups of employees, or customers that may involve persuasion, and obtaining approvals. Willing to travel on an occasional basis.
