Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
Responsible for the success of 7-Eleven Global Technology (7GT) Solution Development. Leading the Engineering Team, both on-shore and off-shore, to develop componentized technology products that can be sold as a service to existing International Licensees or can be used to operate a 7-Eleven business in a new market. Work with Regional Directors and New Market Entry Director to obtain insights on global technology needs to support and drive business opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing technology solutions based on the vision and strategy for a segment of 7GT
Over see solution design
Gain alignment on that vision, strategy, and roadmap with the leader of 7GT
Implement a segment of 7GT platform that will consist of multiple technology products based on existing solutions at 7-Eleven, Inc.
Directly work on implementing the segment of 7GT platform for International New Market Entry
Manage a large team to execute a portion of the segment of 7GT platform
Define, Measure, Evaluate and Report KPIs for that segment of 7GT
Responsible for ongoing maintenance of the 7GT solution as a service
Responsible for managing technology budget and gain alignment with supervisor
Continue to create efficiencies with 7GT solution platform to reduce unnecessary cost of operations
Assure quality of service
Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives
Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results
Qualifications:
Education : B.A. Business Administration, or B.S. Technology, or other related focus area. Masters level degree preferred.
Work Experience : 15+ Years in relevant technology experience. 10+ years experience leading others
7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS
5+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms
5+ years of experience with Agile delivery
3+ years years experience delivering large and complex programs - where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with large cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables and unblock teams to land business impact
Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment
Knowledgeable about 7-Eleven business model or small box franchised convenience business model
Understanding of Retailer Initiative
Have created vision & strategy
Able to communicate well to gain alignment on vision, strategy and resolving risks and issues with senior executives
Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.
Motivated Leader with passion to expand our software to global market
Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and empathy for teams and partners
Language Skills : English proficiency
Other Qualifications : Experience working with diverse teams across multiple locations and cultures.
