Director, Engineering Operations (50% Travel)

The Director of Engineering Operations, leading a team of engineers, will deliver operational efficiency and cost savings targets as required at MAB. They will drive value in the company through the areas of maintenance and reliability, utility engineering and operation, and process engineering. Owning the highly skilled team already in place, the Director will lead us to a world-class criticality-based equipment reliability program, our vision of "0" in the utility group including zero safety incidents, NOV's, quality issues, or downtime from utilities, and optimized process systems that allow us to make our product in the safest, the highest quality, most efficient manner possible.
They will collaborate closely with their plant counterparts to identify, define, prioritize, and implement improvement initiatives at all of our brewing facilities. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of technical standards, change management programs, and project request and execution templates.
Responsibilities and RequirementsBusiness Outcomes: Run + Build + Grow - the department, function and/or business through strategic insights and direction. Establishes budgets, policies and long-term roadmaps.
People and Teams: Leads and mentors a team and has authority for resource planning, hiring, performance, development, disciplinary action and termination.
Know-How: Extensive knowledge of principles and trends for multiple fields and how they can impact business success.
Plans, directs and manages overall control and coordination of all activities related to the reliability, maintenance, utility systems, process engineering functions.Develop and implement corporate standards for change management; where needed benchmark industry leaders and incorporate standard methodologies.Collaborate with the Plant Engineering team to ensure the improvement plan delivers desired results and savings commitments.Easily communicates complex ideas and solutions to company leadership team for approval.Extensive experience in system troubleshooting, optimization, and improvement.Experience developing and implementing change management programs and project specific guidelines and standards (CMR, PHA, etc and RACI charts).Extensive experience operating within an operational production facility, sanitary design, and reliability centered maintenance processes.Demonstrated outstanding project safety leadership with balanced results.Demonstrated effective management and development of engineering and technical staff.Experience implementing continuous improvement or re-engineering of work process.Ability to effectively lead change and work collaboratively in a team environment.Knowledgeable in plant operations, maintenance processes, capital expenditure and reliability improvement.Can effectively identify and evaluate technical and non-technical opportunities for improvement and translate them to financial terms that provides a case and supports investment.At Mark Anthony, we live by 5 Core Values every day.
