Primary Job Duties/ Tasks
In an outsourcing environment, the Director, Enterprise Architecture leads the implementation of enterprise architecture, the enterprise architecture governance structure and ongoing refinement activities.
Works closely with service providers to ensure their inscope technical solutions are consistent with enterprise's business strategy and architecture.
Works closely with business unit performance managers and quality assurance staff to review service provider problems, to analyze and validate the accuracy of information and the feasibility of solutions, assuring the appropriate balance of enterprise business, information, technical and solution architectures.
May troubleshoot performance issues and resolve problems with service providers.
Analyzes technology industry and market trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies in the area of expertise to determine potential impacts to business unit service requests and service provider proposals.
Keeps current on the participating business unit strategies and advises when solutions may or may not be leveraged across the enterprise.
Understands the value of technology in the enterprise's business processes, works with service providers to identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction and improved efficiencies and reviews service provider solutions.
At a minimum, the Consultant shall:
Lead, advise, consult, and collaborate with the Agency on topics such as: Implementation of enterprise architecture, the enterprise architecture governance structure and ongoing refinement activities FX Strategic Roadmap Implementation planning activities Legacy Systems transition, cutover, and sunset planning activities FX Technical Documentation (T1-T8) maintenance activities Vendor Task Order estimates and designs Integration and Interoperability of business and technical services technical requirements for procurements IT Common Operations (ITCO) recommendations and activities FX Architecture Review Board Meetings Technical Issue Resolution reviews Technical Standards Committee meetings Technical design and architecture reviews FX module vendor deliverables, as needed Director Enterprise Architect:
Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 10+ Years Technical Architecture design and deployment experience, including systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations 10+ Years providing advice on Technical Roadmaps and associated artifacts 5+ Years Leadership experience managing large, cross-functions teams and projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
5+ Years Health & Human Services (HHS) experience Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of peers and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity Ability to navigate matrix organizations effectively Results-oriented, diligent, and works with a sense of urgency.
