Position Overview Brightcove is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director, Event Production to lead the planning, execution, and innovation of our in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, as well as video-based projects within our digital marketing ecosystem. Reporting to the VP Corporate Communications & Brand, in this strategic and hands-on role, you will partner with the Global Marketing team to create experiences that captivate audiences, tell compelling stories, and align with Brightcove's go-to-market (GTM) strategy.

Job Responsibilities Global Event Strategy & Execution:Design, plan, and execute a global event strategy that aligns with Brightcove's marketing, demand generation, and organizational objectives.Develop strategic event plans, incorporating the latest tools and technologies to deliver seamless, engaging experiences at scale.Event & Production Leadership:Lead end-to-end production for livestreams, including pre-production planning, vendor and team management, and live event direction.Oversee the production of key internal and external events, including webinars, quarterly All-Hands meetings, external earnings live streams, and the annual Sales Kickoff (SKO).Operational Excellence:Create and manage project scopes, ensuring timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and deliverables are met with precision.Design and implement technical workflows and redundancy plans for remote and in-person broadcasts, identifying potential risks and backup solutions.Establish efficient workflows and tools for global event management, ensuring consistency and excellence across regions.Strategic Collaboration:Provide strategic guidance for regional events, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality attendee experience globally.Collaborate with internal teams to advise on vendor selection for registration, production, and other event-related tools and services.Engage with external speaker bureaus, customers, and stakeholders to elevate Brightcove's brand at global events.Budget & Vendor Management:Manage multiple budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and alignment with financial objectives.Work with finance and legal teams to process purchase orders, invoices, and vendor agreements.A/V & Facilities Coordination:Procure audiovisual equipment and book facilities to support event production and recordings.Team Leadership:Inspire, coach, and motivate the corporate events team to deliver exceptional results.Host regular check-ins and project meetings to ensure alignment and on-time delivery across all initiatives.Qualifications/Experience 10+ years of production and event management experience, with a strong background in video production, live events, and hybrid/virtual experiences. Live stream production experience is preferred.Proven ability to design and execute strategic global event plans that drive business results and align with GTM strategies.Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong leadership and team-building skills.A creative thinker with a track record of translating innovative ideas into impactful events.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.Experience managing multiple budgets and achieving cost-efficiency without compromising quality.Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.Flexibility to travel up to 20% or as required.About Brightcove Brightcove is a diverse, global team of smart, passionate people who are revolutionizing the way organizations deliver video.
