Please note that this position is based in San Diego, CA. Acadia's hybrid model requires this role to work in our office three days per week on average.
Responsibilities:Develop and Implement Financial Systems: Lead the design, creation, and administration of financial systems for finance operations.Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic support and guidance to senior leadership on financial systems and process improvements.Operational Support: Continual assessment and refinement of systems to ensure alignment with changing workflow and processes. Day-to-day operational support for finance operations.Process improvement: Identify, plan and implement key projects to improve quality, reduce costs, increase productivity and improve cycle time as it relates to the organizations financial systems.Department Initiatives: Implement department initiatives and financial systems strategy.Management: Manage process and personnel both direct and indirectly, ensuring project milestones and goals are met.Compliance and Reporting: Ensure financial systems and related processes comply with record-keeping and reporting requirements.Ad hoc projects as assigned by the VP Chief Accounting Officer.Education/Experience/Skills:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA a plus. Requires a minimum of 10 years' experience in finance or financial systems. An equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered.
Key Candidate Qualities:High level of intellectual curiosity, with ability to work independently and solve complex problems.Strong knowledge of financial systems, strategic planning, and team management.Excellent financial acumen, attention to detail, and ability to think strategically.Proven track record of reliable, detailed and accurate work product.Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.Ability to work and prioritize in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time environment, delivering quality analysis under time constraints.Flexibility to adjust to fluctuations in workload based upon changing priorities.Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry trends.Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and MS Office proficiency.Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, NetSuite, and Coupa, a plus.Scope:Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of functional area objectives and their impact on, and interaction with, other functions within the organization. Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, or company operations.
Compensation and Benefits:In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location.
Salary Range: $175,000 — $219,300 USD.
