Description: Job Title: Director, FP&A Reports to: SVP, Finance FLSA Status: Exempt Revised Date: 10/11/2024 Travel: Travel requirement 10% Summary: Reporting to the SVP of Finance, the Director of FP&A will lead the financial planning and analysis function, driving strategic initiatives and providing insights to support the company's financial goals. This role involves overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis to guide decision-making across the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term financial strategies and goals. Provide analytical support for key business initiatives and investment decisions. · Manage the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions. · Prepare and present financial reports, performance metrics, and dashboards to management and stakeholders. Communicate financial insights and implications effectively. · Develop financial models to assess business opportunities, pricing strategies, and sales opportunities. Conduct scenario analysis to support strategic planning for commercial organization. · Partner with various departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, HR) to gather insights, provide financial guidance, and drive accountability for financial performance of teams. · Identify opportunities for enhancing financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis. · Other duties may be assigned. Education Requirements/Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study. MBA or relevant certification (CMA, CFA) is a plus. Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in FP&A or related roles, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership capacity. Manufacturing industry experience preferred. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: · To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite –Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint – and financial reporting systems with report writing / dashboard building experience.
