As part of Global Digital Marketing, the Global Social Media team is shaping the strategic vision and implementation across all organic social media platforms. As social media becomes increasingly complex, Nike Global Social Media is responsible for understanding the landscape, standing out and deepening the connection of our brand with consumers. 
Who we are looking for
Nike Global Social Media is responsible for the co-creation, planning, programming, creative standards and publishing of all global-level channels. As such, this role is crucial in bringing together the art + science of Nike x Social media and aligning this to seasonal objectives and brand and business goals. 
The Global Social Director for Women's and Kids is responsible for leading the strategy and defining the standards for how they come to life on social, demonstrating Nike's leadership in this space and pushing us to continue to be the best brand on social. 
The ideal candidate will need: 
:: Strong Relationship Management. A cross functional leader, with positive influence who motivates colleagues and is a natural problem solver. Ability to collaborate with all key partners across multiple departments including Brand, Creative and Comms. 
:: Creative Stewardship. A high standard of creative taste – understanding the Nike creative standards with a good knowledge of Sport and how it connect with our audiences on social platforms
:: Social media excellence. Strong understanding of various social media platforms, their unique audiences, and content requirements and unique functionality (how to make for each platform)
:: Cultural Leader. Help activate and foster a strong team identity, built on collaboration, a shared vision of success and a strong work ethic. 
The ideal candidate will be exposed to senior leaders within Global Creative, Global Brand Marketing and throughout Digital Brand. You want to be a part of this team because you love sport, and the role of our direct-to-consumer channels and you are always ready to be a thought partner, a digital evangelist and social advocate. You obsess the latest trends in social media and digital and are able to overlay consumer need to create industry leading solutions.
What you will work on
If this is you, you will be working with Brand Creative, Brand and Digital Brand teams to shape all the experiences that live within social media. You are responsible for the channel strategy, the brief to creative, and overseeing the final stage of implementation and publishing. 
A typical day/week looks like 
Partner cross-functionally and with Geo's to communicate social channel priorities  Partner across NDDC and Merchandising to implement social commerce capabilities and integrate into the overarching social strategy  Partner with Integrated Media and Geo partners to set budget priorities for powering social channels Write and refine creative briefs to ensure platform-right, channel-right content is briefed and delivered by creative  Attend Creative Review to share concepts for your respective channels Partner with insights and platform strategy teams to set learning agenda and incorporate learnings into real-time improvements for social plans  Partner with Consumer Services team to ensure our campaigns are supported appropriately all the way through to social interactions from consumers Manage and facilitate sport and athlete moments  Meet with agency partners and Consumer Services on Social ROS Who you will work with
In this role, you will sit in the Digital Brand Team, reporting to the Global Social Senior Director with a dotted line into Women's and Kids Creative Leads. You will work with your Social managers and an agency partner for programming and publishing needs and collaborate with the measurement team to review metrics and insights. You will also work with your Creator Manager and the creative team on the creative brief and guidelines for best-in-class social creative. 
What you bring
8+ years of experience working on a social team or at a social agency  Degree in Marketing or related field; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training Proven experience working on social activations for large campaigns  Proven experience in managing up, across, and downstream with peers and partners Proven experience working with creative teams on digital and social platforms (examples of projects encouraged)  Interest in working with athletes / influencers / celebrities  Comfortable in managing ever-changing platform landscape while providing clear POV's and willingness to align / educate / compromise with stakeholders Early adopter and problem solver for digital platforms (Comfortable trying new tools and adapting to process improvements) Experience working and managing teams within Sprinklr, AirTable, Asana (or other)  Excellent oral & written communication skills including strong presentation skills  NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
