Director, International Government AffairsReporting to the Vice President of Government Affairs, Americas, the Director of International Government Affairs at Siemens Healthineers (SHS) is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the company's global policy and advocacy agenda to ensure the best possible operational environment and enhanced patient access to existing and emerging SHS technologies. This position requires an independent strategist with deep understanding of international markets, trade policy, global organizations, and governments. The Director develops and maintains key relationships both in Washington, DC, and priority countries to drive policy and advocacy issues impacting market access & development, regulatory approval, trade and global supply chain resiliency.
Core Responsibilities: This individual is responsible for developing and executing global advocacy strategies in coordination with the company's executive leaders, business units, corporate functions, and regional teams.The Director is a facilitator who supports regional GA heads to connect company business leaders on the ground to key government agencies and officials, particularly in countries with an SHS manufacturing presence.The Director collaborates with regional GA and business leaders on reverse trade missions to the U.S. to demonstrate SHS capabilities and support international business opportunities.The position handles coordination across functions and geographies to ensure that overseas policy development reflects corporate strategic priorities. The positions will collaborate regularly with regional counterparts, and/or provide guidance on the impact of policy decisions on SHS sales, regulations, pricing, operations, etc.The Director serves as a liaison and drives advocacy strategy in trade associations, including AdvaMed, MDMA, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and bilateral business councils, and maintains leadership roles in associations and organizations across priority markets, primarily in the U.S., and as needed in other countries to support regional GA.Qualifications/Skills: 10+ years of applicable experience within the medical device industry, an international policy position with an organization, or in the US government trade agencies or Capitol Hill.Must be able to engage with a variety of stakeholders comfortably, confidently, and independently, including foreign trade and health officials, U.S. political leaders and trade staff, divisions, and overseas business units (executives, government affairs, regulatory affairs, reimbursement, partnerships, sales, operations, marketing, legal, compliance, clinical, etc.)Must be a strong collaborator and effective decision maker, working within a dynamic and highly matrixed environment with minimum supervision.Must have a strong ability to analyze, negotiate, and solve complex problems.Capability to prioritize and execute multiple complex projects simultaneously.Aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced, lean operating environment.Ability to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory guidelines with healthcare professionals, payers, advocacy, and other business partners.Who we are:

The pay range for this position is $175,000 - $205,000 U.S. dollars annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as where the work will be performed. The annual incentive target is (15%) of base pay. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
