We are looking for a self-motivated team player to join our IPR Policy team, part of Ericsson's IPR & Licensing unit. The team is distributed on several sites worldwide, and we now need to strengthen our presence in Washington DC!

What you will do 
As a member of this distributed team, you will focus on US policy developments and on building relationships with policymakers and institutions to ensure our voice is heard on IPR (especially patents) policy topics.
You will work in close collaboration with other members of the IPR Policy team and provide support on IPR matters to the government relations team as well as the marketing & communications team. You will also work with the legal team on matters at the cross road of IPR and competition law. 
Other activities also include driving and representing Ericsson's IPR position in various high-level standard development organizations and industry associations, as well as raising IP awareness in the context of standardization (such as ITU, IEEE, ANSI and ATIS). 
You will help organize meetings and events, and prepare consultations, briefs, IP policy messages and other supporting documents.

You will bring 
A degree in law or equal through experience.
Experience in, or some familiarity with, contract law, competition law and/or IPR related matters (preferably patent).
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. 
Excellent social, presentation, and writing skills.
Trusted relationship builder.
Self-motivated, reliable, and rigorous team player. 
Minimum 5-8 years professional relevant experience.
Political experience and an ability to develop public policy positions. 
Experience in engaging with governmental institutions and agencies.
Experience in, or strong curiosity about, telecommunications.
Experience of PR and communications-based advocacy campaigns.
