Read more:careers.bms.com/working-with-us .?The Director, M&A Integration and Change Management Communications, will play a pivotal role during the integration planning and onboarding of acquired colleagues to ensure a positive experience and successful assimilation into BMS. This role will also be responsible for leading communications to support enterprise-wide change management, providing guidance to communications partners to drive stakeholder alignment, ensuring a strong and cohesive approach for messaging across functions.This role reports to the Executive Director, Corporate Culture and Enterprise Communications.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive communication plan and change management strategies throughout pre-and post-close M&A deal stages to ensure a positive experience for acquired colleagues.Partner with applicable function communicator to ensure appropriate therapeutic area messages and leader visibility in deal communications.Lead communication workstream and engage with integration partners to understand change impacts and communication requests in order to assess and develop appropriate and coordinated communication strategies.Partner across the Corporate Culture and Enterprise Communications team to work within communication guidelines and pull through appropriate culture messaging and patient stories. Partner with the Vice President, Mergers Acquisitions & Divestitures and Change in HR to bring to life the change management strategies by driving the corresponding internal communication strategy, develop key messages to support a unified story.Drive stakeholder socialization and alignment to ensure adoption of consistent messaging across functions.Proactively seek out opportunities for organizational leaders to share their stories and further amplify the change narrative.Advise communication partners on transformation efforts to drive employee engagement as well as understanding and adoption of new processes and mindsets.Create standardized approaches and materials to be leveraged by communication partners.Contribute communications and change activities to team's editorial calendar, proactively looking for ways to unify and reinforce key initiatives with employees and stakeholders.Partner closely with colleagues driving other internal and external communications to ensure message alignment and consistency and to generate new content ideas.Qualifications & Experience12+ years of experience setting with a focus on transformation. A combination of in-house and agency experience is a plus.Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions integrations; in-depth knowledge of communication regulations during each stage of a deal.Strong strategic planning and project management skills.Acute business acumen and a deep understanding of organizational issues and how to resolve challenges among competing workstreams.Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and counterparts at all levels of the company, both within the Corporate Communications team and across the larger matrixed organization.Superior written, verbal, editing and interpersonal communications skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.Self-directed with proven ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple initiatives with competing priorities.Excellent leadership skills with ability to garner senior leader confidence.Good judgment skills and able to handle confidential/sensitive information.Passionate about the employee experience.Positive approach and commitment to collaboration with shared purpose.Bachelor's degree required, preferably in communications or related field.
