We have an exciting new opportunity to join Symetra as aDirector, Marketing Operations.About the roleSymetra's director of marketing operations is an experienced professional who is an expert communicator, people leader, dedicated negotiator and outstanding project manager who works with cross-functional teams in sophisticated, multi-platform marketing efforts.This position drives large scale cross-functional marketing initiatives that are tied to Symetra's business goals. This is a pivotal role that builds project teams, helps prioritize deliverables and coordinates marketing operations for the enterprise.What you will doUnderstand the business goals of each business leader to help guide prioritizationHelp guide and mediate discussions about timelines, priorities and personnelGather and present relevant metrics to help determine prioritizationClearly communicate priorities to all stakeholders to ensure full transparencyReport metrics of delivered projects and present recommendations for further successConduct post-task reviews to continue refining and improving the processBuild and handle a company-wide portfolio of marketing projects.Figure out the best process, technology and communication methods to deliver projects on time and budget.Leverage limited resources to deliver high quality projects at high volume.Negotiate timelines with project ownersMentor and train developing project managersDevelop career paths for staffWhat we offer youWe don't take a "one-size-fits-all" approach when it comes to our employees. Check out our Symetra Benefits OverviewCompensationSalary Range: $110,300 - $183,800 plus eligibility for annual bonus program.Who you areBA or equivalent work experience10+ years of project management experience5+ years people managementStrong technical skills including proficiency with various project management toolsKnowledgeable in process management methodologies and change managementFamiliarity with Insurance productsPMI, PMP or other project management certificationsSix Sigma designation preferredDemonstrated experience managing issues, scope, and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within cost and time requirements.Exemplary presentation skillsPracticed Interpersonal and negotiation skills along with a proven ability to manage and communicate change.A critical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skillsAdept at conflict resolution.A proven decision-maker.Demonstrated team-building experienceWe empower inclusionAt Symetra, we aspire to be the most inclusive insurance company in the country.
