You will be responsible for a high-performing product management team that will lead our efforts to streamline our product portfolio, enhance customer experiences, and drive revenue growth across sales channels. Additionally, you will establish and lead cross-functional customer research and insights activities, leveraging market, industry, and product research to steer our product and marketing-led growth strategy. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Product Management Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the product management function, ensuring it is closely aligned with our business goals. This role requires a balance between strategic leadership and hands-on execution, where you will actively contribute to the development and management of product strategies, roadmaps, and processes. Product Management, Positioning, and Messaging: Take ownership of developing clear and compelling product definitions, positioning, and pricing strategies that differentiate our offerings in the marketplace. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams but also directly develop and refine messaging that drives customer engagement and supports business objectives. Product Lifecycle Management: Actively manage the product lifecycle, including item setup (NPIF), product end-of-life decisions, sunsetting old products, and transitioning customers to new offerings. Establish and Lead Customer Research and Insights: Lead a small, focused team dedicated to gathering and analyzing customer, market, industry, and competitive insights, including macro-economic trends. You will not only guide the team but also directly engage in research activities, synthesizing insights to inform product development and growth strategies. This work will be done in collaboration with the Sales team. Lead & Execute Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for both existing and new products. In this role, you will not only manage the process but also actively contribute to and execute the strategies, ensuring they are aligned with customer needs and market trends. You will be accountable for delivering tangible results and driving product success in the market. Performance Measurement and Continuous Optimization: Establish and monitor KPIs (key performance indicators) and metrics to measure the success of product management, research, and marketing initiatives. You will use data-driven insights to continuously optimize strategies, taking a hands-on approach to analyze results and implement improvements that deliver measurable business impact. Development of Sales Tools: Hands-on creation of sales enablement tools, such as product demos, pitch decks, or training materials to help the sales team effectively communicate product value to customers. Budget Planning and Allocation: Directly oversee and manage the budget for product management activities, including resource allocation, forecasting, and financial planning. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Experience: 10+ years of experience in product management and marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior management role. Proven experience in B2B environments, ideally within healthcare, medical supplies, or a related industry. B2B Expertise: Demonstrated experience in the B2B customer space, with a deep understanding of B2B buyer behaviors, sales cycles, and customer needs. Ability to craft strategies that resonate with business customers and drive tangible results. Research and Insights Expertise: Proven experience in establishing and leading customer, market, and industry research, competitive analysis, product research, and macro-economic analysis. Strategic Leadership: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence senior leadership. Customer-Centric Approach: Deep understanding of customer-centric marketing practices, with a proven record of accomplishment of leveraging customer insights to drive product success. Physical Requirements: Ability to safely & successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with federal, state & local standards, including meeting qualitative &/or quantitative standards.
