JOB MISSION: Strategically lead our effort to organize, right size and expand our Footwear and Apparel supply chain to support New Balance's Made in USA product lines.
This role will lead the creation and execute the vision of near-shoring, friend-shoring, and on-shoring material and component supply that will enable New Balance to bring product to market faster, with materials that are localized with higher quality and faster replenishment.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Partners with the VP of Made, Sr Director Planning Ops, Director R&D, Director Quality and cross functional peers to identity strengths, gaps and opportunities that will lead to a robust, flexible, and reliable supplier network.
* Creates Supplier Prospecting Process that addresses "what's next" in material/ commodity strategy to address work that is driven by R&D or by supplier capability
* Create and manage supplier scorecards, supplier agreement terms and participate in NEW product development activities that will lead to either new suppliers or an expansion of capabilities at existing suppliers.
* Develop cohesive plans on commodity supply plans and leads functional interactions to ensure supplier strategy is meeting current and future product needs.
* Takes a leadership role in working cross-functionally to optimize use of data, systems D365/ o9 and reporting to drive work, results, and transparency to Made leadership team.
* Utilizes data/operational insights to partner with key cross-functional groups to drive efficiencies into processes and functions.
* Leads quarterly supplier reviews across all commodities and outlines strategies to manage supplier health.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
* Must have 15 years in Footwear or Apparel Operations with 8+ in Sourcing and materials.
