Primary Purpose: Provide leadership within NEI and the industry on nuclear supply chain activities and initiatives for the current and future fleet of nuclear reactors. Develop NEI positions, initiatives and programs that support a robust U.S. nuclear energy supply chain by working directly with members and internal stakeholders and coordinating with other industry groups. Effectively advocate for these positions with policymakers. Identify issues of importance to NEI's supplier member segment, communicate these issues to impacted members and coordinate industry activities to address identified issues. Serve as an NEI primary contact for supplier members. Facilitate supplier member programs and communications. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibilities of position are broad in scope and diverse in nature. Support engagement with NEI's supplier segment of membership, including senior executives of supplier companies Lead the execution of the NEI annual plan activities related to the nuclear supply chain. Develop and implement positions, programs, and initiatives to support a robust U.S. nuclear energy supply chain to support the current operating fleet and new nuclear deployment. Coordinate with other NEI divisions engaged in supplier-related activities, e.g., nuclear fuel supply, regulatory issues impacting suppliers. Support the effective execution of the Supplier Advisory Committee and other relevant committees and task forces. May be required to chair Issue Task Forces or other NEI sponsored meetings. Articulate and expand NEI's value proposition for the supplier segment. Implement programs and services related to NEI's supplier members, e.g., MemberLink. Job Specifications: A minimum of ten years of nuclear industry experience, including utility, NSSS vendor, or commercial nuclear supplier. Direct experience in nuclear supply chain activities, e.g., procurement or supplier experience preferred. Knowledge: Must understand current business drivers and trends within the commercial nuclear energy industry, subsectors within the supplier community, and interconnections between utility and supplier members. Skills & Abilities: Must be able to analyze complex industry issues including assessment of operational, program, staffing, fiscal needs, and business impacts. Must also be capable of analyzing complex and technical written documents. Possess the ability to effectively interact with executives of NEI members on a broad range of issues. Interaction with federal government agencies is also required. Ability to lead groups with potentially disparate perspectives to delivery of work products and deliverables. Must be able to communicate effectively and diplomatically within NEI, with the appropriate levels of member company personnel, with a broad range of industry personnel, other industry organizations, and with federal agencies. Critical decision-making skills required, including strong analytical abilities and the ability to reach decisions in an environment that may involve competing interests. Possess the ability for strategic planning in his/her area of responsibility. Pay Range: For employees who live in the Washington, DC Metro area, the salary range for this position is $171,200 to $256,800 annually. Typically, new hires are brought into the organization at a salary range between the minimum and midpoint, depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted salary for the role.
