Job Description Company lead for accurate and compliant financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and related key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights into revenue, production costs, and operational expenses Collaborate with senior management to develop comprehensive annual budgets and plans for farming, optimizing resource allocation and driving profitability in farm management, harvesting, and packing operations Manage industry-specific accounts receivable, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and resolution of discrepancies related to fruit sales and pool distribution Financial management and planning for the capital, farm, and operations budgets, including annual spending, ROI analysis, capital improvement projects, variance analysis and reporting, etc. Review and ensure accuracy of bank reconciliations for multiple accounts in the farming operations, maintaining up-to-date financial records and tracking cash flow from fruit sales, farming expenses, and packing activities Coordinate tax compliance, including timely filing and provisions, leveraging industry-specific tax regulations and collaborating with agricultural tax advisors Coordinate with auditors and other external advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion and delivery of financial reporting and other deliverables Maintain robust internal controls and procedures specific to the operation, safeguarding financial transactions related to ranch operations, supply chain management, and farm-to-market processes Provide concise executive summaries and monthly reports tailored to farming, addressing market trends, yield analysis, and opportunities for crop optimization Manage, coach, and develop accounting personnel Serve as the accounting technical expert on U.S. GAAP for the Company Conduct cost and profitability analysis and KPI development for the operation, optimizing operations across orchard management, irrigation, fertilization, and packaging, to enhance profitability and resource efficiency Qualifications 8+ years of accounting experience with 3+ years of supervisory experience Knowledge of food and agricultural production is a plus Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field CPA credentials strongly preferred or significant knowledge of all relevant accounting principles Highly proficient with agriculture accounting software programs and Microsoft Suite products Exceptional ability to proactively solve problems and offer constructive solutions Proven professional communication, interpersonal, persuasion, and customer service skills Demonstrated planning, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills Additional Information Compensation Range: $125,000 to $175,000 with potential for an annual discretionary bonus (range is based on experience and qualifications ) Benefits: Eligible employees receive medical, dental, vision, and group life insurance along with the option to enroll in the Company's 401(k) program with the Company matching a percentage of gross contribution.
