Job Summary The Director of Asset Management and Renewable Energy will be responsible for overseeing and managing all construction-related activities across the portfolio with a focus on asset management.
This role requires strategic planning, team management, and high-level stakeholder engagement to ensure projects meet agreed specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Responsibilities Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of construction projectsMonitor and report on sustainability metrics and performanceManage all community solar and solar development projects across the portfolioEngage with third party consultants to initiate new solar programsInsurance: Manage all insurance strategy and coordinate with necessary stakeholders internally and externallyOversee all major insurance claims at the corporate level to ensure a consistent process alongside our insurance brokerConstruction Management: Oversee the Construction Management Yardi module to provide visibility into capital spend vs. acquisition underwritingOwnership of each fund's 10-year capital planWork with the construction teams across markets to track major projectsHost regular forums with the construction manager team on trends, new protocols, major projects, etc.Preventative Maintenance: Work with the asset management teams to establish cost-efficient preventative maintenance programsOwn the Facility Manager Yardi moduleDevelopment: Maintain developer relationships and establish a streamlined development processConduct financing analysis and procurementInnovation and Technology: Explore and implement new technologies and innovative practices to improve construction efficiency and sustainabilityLead the adoption of digital tools and platforms to enhance project management and reportingStakeholder Engagement Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including cross-corporate functions, competitors, and vendorsRepresent the company at industry events and conferencesOversee several vendors during due diligence and throughout the hold period at the corporate levelRequired Qualifications Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience in construction management or asset management, preferably in a leadership roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneouslyExperience with Yardi modules - Construction Manager and Facility ManagerKnowledge of solar and renewable energy projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEqual Opportunity Employer Faropoint is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
