Essential Job Functions:
- Lead and support a team of sales associates through training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management
- Utilize internal and external resources to develop strategic plans that incorporate all business segments
- Understand sales and business processes and contribute to enhancing customer value
- Identify customer business requirements and create offers that result in increased revenue for the company.
- Monitor and take corrective action to meet annual sales objectives
- Achieve annual revenue goals as outlined in the budget
- Maintain relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and revenue
- Utilize professional sales techniques to negotiate favorable terms and conditions
- Leverage the unique benefits of the venue to close sales opportunities
- Develop and maintain a current annual marketing plan with measurable initiatives for each business segment
- Lead by example through effective sales techniques and commitment to professional and personal development
- Create compelling presentations to effectively communicate ideas, recommendations, and conclusions
- Conduct local travel for outside sales calls and market research
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced coursework in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications preferred
- Previous sales experience in a comparable hospitality setting, with operational experience preferred
- Public relations and community marketing experience required
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Event Master
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends
