Position Overview: The Director of Business Development will be responsible for leading and executing the company's business development strategy within the Government Contracting (GovCon) sector. This role will focus on identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with federal agencies, and driving growth in the areas of CCTV, biometrics, and key access solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in GovCon business development, with experience in the security technology sector being a significant advantage. This position has hybrid flexibility. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Execution:Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives within the GovCon sector.Identify and prioritize target markets, customers, and opportunities in alignment with company goals.Market Analysis and Research:Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities within the federal government sector.Analyze customer needs and pain points to develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements.Relationship Building:Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within federal agencies and government contractors.Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to network and promote the company's offerings.Proposal Development and Management:Lead the development and submission of high-quality proposals, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are competitive and compliant with customer requirements.Sales and Revenue Growth:Drive the sales process from lead generation to contract award, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets.Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and regularly update senior management on progress.Team Leadership and Collaboration:Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve team objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align efforts and achieve common goals.Industry Expertise:Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the GovCon sector.Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on industry developments.Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 a year
