About the Role The Company is seeking a Director of Business Development with a focus on space and defense products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic pursuit and capture of new business within the space sector, specifically targeting Tier 1 and 2 prime contractors, defense organizations, and government entities.
This role requires a self-motivated individual with a proven track record in business development and sales, particularly in the area of custom, highly complex engineered products used in space applications.
The Director will be a key member of the executive team, playing a significant role in the complete life cycle sales process, from developing capture strategies to contributing to bid-to-win strategies.
Applicants for the Director of Business Development position must have a strong technical aptitude and capability in complex solutions, as well as solid business acumen to create new long-term opportunities.
The role involves collaborating with team members to assemble competitive proposals, and the ideal candidate will have experience in assembling and delivering rich presentations to key decision-makers and executives.
A background in pursuing and capturing space programs and contracts is essential, as is the ability to navigate high-technology requirements used in space applications.
US citizenship and eligibility for a DoD clearance are also required.
The Director will be expected to work closely with a passionate and collaborative team, and the position is remote with approximately 50% travel.
