Director of Business Development Primary Objective of Position: Our client is looking for a Director of Business Development to ensure that their sales consistently meet or exceed the goals established for them. They will focus on professional trade to close sales opportunities by working closely with existing active clients, reestablishing productive relationships with existing inactive clients, and identifying and closing sales with new clients. The Director of Business Development will also work collaboratively with the existing team to promote the achievement of the team's established sales goals.
Key Results Are effective at prospecting and strategically moving through the steps of the buying processHave a clear vision of the offering and can articulate it well, both verbally and in writingCan identify synergies between their prospect's challenges and Marketing solutionsCan effectively position priority to defeat status quoPartner cross-functionally with internal resources of the companyAre driven and self-motivatedThe candidate has extensive experience initiating buying processes and keeping the process moving to closure following complex contract negotiations with Fortune 500 businessesProven track record in selling complex solutions (multi-buyer/multi-step) at the executive-level (Procurement, Marketing, Finance) of large organizationsThe ideal Director of Business Development has 5-7 years of experience selling complex (multi-buyer/multi-step) service (BPO) solutions to executive-level (Procurement, Marketing, Finance) decision makers in large companiesStrong prospecting and needs analysis skillsExperience with $1.5MM and greater transaction sizesProven ability to build strong internal relationshipsAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingAccustomed to a long, strategic buying process (6 months+)Self-motivated, self-directed, self-drivenComfortable and effective working remotely with limited management oversightExperienced in a team-selling environment where they lead the teamTrack record of employment tenures (5 years+)Bachelor's degree (preferred)Benefits: Health, dental, and vision benefitsLife, AD&D, short- and long-term disability insuranceGenerous paid time off (PTO)Recognition programs and service awards401 (k) with a company matchEmployee assistance program, including identity theft protection and travel assistanceEmployee discount programsLocation: Remote/US
