About the Role The Director of Business Development at the company will play a pivotal role in the rebranding and expansion of the pharma department, with a focus on selling custom synthesis small molecule API and intermediate CDMO services.
This position demands a proactive approach to prospecting and hunting for new business within the small molecule custom API space, utilizing the tools, marketing, and resources provided.
The successful candidate will be the 2nd US team member, reporting to the Head of US Business Development, and will be instrumental in building and nurturing client relationships across multiple sites.
The ideal candidate for the Director of Business Development role should have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in CDMO small molecule sales, coupled with an undergraduate technical degree in a life science field.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, as is the readiness to engage with upper management and contribute to the intellectual growth of the business.
The role is remote and requires the candidate to be based on either the West or East Coast of the United States.
