If yes, how you will contribute to the team:
As the Director of Business Development, you will plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility's marketing and public relations programs and activities in order to maintain and increase resident census. You will provide the community with information relative to our facility, its programs, services, practices, promote the facility and its services to outside sources such as physicians, discharge planners, business members of the community, churches and schools providing adult education.
Our Business Development Directors maintain a thorough knowledge of facility's admission requirements, services and programs, and admissions policies and procedures. You will work with the facility team to conduct tours for members of the community as well as families, conducts pre-admission interviews with prospective resident/guarantors and explains all services of the nursing facility.
Must haves: Thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, community relations, etc., as they relate to nursing facility operationsAbility to make direct sales calls, and to organize and deliver public presentationsAbility to establish, implement and maintain effective marketing and public relations programThorough understanding of healthcare reimbursement programsMust be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term careAbility to form relationships with community healthcare partnersMust be familiar with local hospitals in King County and the State's healthcare system.
