Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Director of Client Solutions to lead selling efforts at Stok.
This role is critical in acquiring new strategic client accounts and expanding existing enterprise relationships to drive sales growth.
The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive sales experience to maximize results, foster trusted client relationships, and execute complex, consultative sales strategies.
Ideal candidates have 10+ years of sales and business development experience including demonstrated success selling ESG and/or sustainability consulting services and an established network of client relationships within the real estate industry (REITs, Owners, Developers, Operators, Investors, etc.
).
Key Responsibilities: General: Support the fulfillment of Stok's purpose and mission through sales initiatives.Foster a culture of sales excellence by modeling effective selling strategies.Utilize client, market, and competitor insights to provide strategic feedback on company initiatives.Support a highly inclusive, outcome-driven culture where team members thrive, and organizational goals are achieved.Sales & Business Development: Tap into your existing network and business relationships regionally, nationally or internationally to cultivate long-term, mutually beneficial client relationships to support Stok's growth and close new sales opportunities.Acquire and develop new strategic client relationships within Stok's priority market sectors leading strategic selling efforts to expand business scope and market reach.Support the identification and qualification of target clients and create a sales strategy to cultivate sales within a subset of target clients that are assigned.Support Stok's Account Managers in expanding existing key and managed account business by co-creating and executing account development plans, building a strong and diverse network of stakeholders across the enterprises, identify clients' evolving needs and new opportunities to deliver value.Communicate Stok's value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.Elevate Stok's brand presence through participation in industry associations and events (e.g., ULI, NAREIM, NAIOP, BOMA).Attend industry events and conferences to represent Stok and establish new client relationships and support other Stok SMEs in lead generation.Manage the opportunity process from initiation to close and contract execution, working with Stok's Proposal Management team and subject matter experts to craft winning proposals and participate in interviews to close business.Travel as needed for client engagement and business development opportunities; travel expected monthly.Sales Operations & Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and forecasting.Support sales training and mentorship across the organization fostering skills development and a culture of sales effectiveness.Attend Sales and Marketing group meetings and Sales Team (Client Solutions) syncs.Qualifications: What you'll need to be successful in this role: Demonstrated experience selling ESG and sustainability consulting services with a track record of exceeding sales quotas.Experience selling to the real estate industry and an established network of client relationships within the industry.Proven success in acquiring and developing strategic accounts and driving sales growth.Strong understanding of consultative/value-selling and ability to clearly articulate value proposition.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.Knowledge of market trends, competitor activity, and client needs within the ESG and sustainability space.Strong organizational skills, rigorous approach, focused on execution.Willingness to travel for client engagement and business development opportunities, anticipate 1-3 travel requirements per quarter.Additional experience we'd be excited for you to bring: Proficiency in ESG and Sustainability services.Experience in consultancy.What We Offer: Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement plans.A dynamic and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth and collaboration.Opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the field of ESG and sustainability.If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for driving results in the ESG and sustainability consulting space, we invite you to apply and join our team at Stok.

International and Canadian applicants will receive information regarding their specific benefits packages directly from a People Operations Specialist during the recruitment and hiring process. Stok's office locations (San Francisco, San Diego and Denver) are open for collaboration and this role is remote and can be based anywhere in the United States. TOTAL COMPENSATION RANGE: Starting base salary range of $150,000-$200,000 - based on market location and experience, with additional uncapped annual sales bonus structure.
