Property Management Company seeks an experienced Director of Compliance. In this role you will be the liaison between the organization, owner representatives and regulatory agencies to ensure the accurate and timely coordination of occupancy for new developments or the resyndication/repositioning of existing affordable housing developments, while maintaining full compliance with all programmatic requirements. Responsibilities of the Position: Provide support to owners by assisting with the completion of affordable loan applications for new developments. Lead team to successful rent up of new affordable housing developments. Communicate effectively with internal and external teams to ensure properties meet deadlines and deliverables, and remain compliant. Create and implement marketing and tenant selection plans as required by owners and/or regulatory agencies. Oversee the review of original files, forms and procedures and monitor submission to investor partners. Develop and execute rental policies/procedures in accord with fair housing law and regulatory agreements. Coordinate and oversee housing lotteries. Work with operations team to facilitate lease prep and move-ins. Conduct regular meetings with internal and external teams to review deliverables and goals. Provide training to and act as a resource to compliance team members. Provide reports/documentation as required to investors. Additional duties as required. And More … Requirements Needed for this job: Demonstrated ability to meet deliverables and timelines related to the initial occupancy of new affordable housing developments. Proven success at team leadership, mentoring and employee development. Mastery of affordable housing program administration, including but not limited to Project-Based Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and HOME. Proven ability to effectively communicate across a variety of audiences, including residents, owners, supportive service and federal, state, or local agency representatives. C3P, SHCM, BOS or other equivalent affordable housing industry certification(s) required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and RealPage. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
