With a comprehensive in-house Design/Build department, they offer a seamless and integrated approach to construction projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. They are currently seeking a Director of Construction to join their dynamic team and play a key role in their continued success in the Ohio building and construction industry.
Job Description Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Provide leadership and direction to Senior PMs, Sr. Superintendents, and site teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.Collaborate with the executive team to develop strategic plans for project delivery, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards across all job sites.Review and approve project budgets, schedules, and contracts to ensure accuracy and feasibility.Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project timelines and budgets.Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and successful project outcomes.Lead the hiring, training, and development of construction personnel to ensure a high-performing and motivated workforce.Oversee the implementation of best practices in construction management, including technology adoption, process improvement, and quality control.Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.Report on project status, financial performance, and operational metrics to the executive team.The Successful Applicant MUST have experience working at General Contractors.MUST have experience leading Sr. Superintendents and Sr. Project Managers.Experience with Business Development in Ohio is a plus.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale projects.Proven track record of successfully managing industrial, retail, restaurant, and multifamily construction projects.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage multiple project teams.In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, and contract management.Proficiency in construction management software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.A commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and advancement to a Vice President position.A collaborative and supportive work environment.Work From Home Flexibility.Exposure to diverse and challenging projects across multiple sectors.A chance to lead a highly skilled construction team in a growing market.
