SUMMARY:
Campus Support Center Director of Curriculum Development serves with the Senior Director of Curriculum Development and Executive
Director of Nursing, to ensure the development, delivery and evaluation of curriculum and instruction practices, with primary focus on
laboratory, clinical, and simulation; and to ensure quality learning by all students on Michigan Board of Nursing standards and Dorsey's
College of Nursing learning goals.
The Director for Curriculum Development serves as a member of the administrative team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise the practical nurse curriculum, in collaboration with the nursing faculty.
This will be accomplished to maintain accreditation and maintain currency of the curriculum, in accordance with state and national standards under the direction of the Executive Director of Nursing.
Ensure evidence-based curriculum that's up to date with the current nursing practices Provide opportunities for community involvement for real life connections Develop and maintain course objectives, outlines, and syllabi consistent with educational course outcomes Manage and review the systemic routine assessment of our Nursing programs curriculum to ensure there is ongoing evaluation, to measure and plan continuous improvement as required by ACEN.
Recommend instructional delivery methods, to include online, classroom, and/or hybrid.
With Senior Director of Curriculum Development oversight, coordinate and facilitate curriculum review committee meetings and other program needs.
As necessary, assist in preparing instructional materials, class handouts and information sheets, and organize student activities.
Aid in the selection of textbooks and resources as needed.
Integrate curriculum and available resources into the leaning management system Develop and maintain new faculty binders to include resources and tools for success Collaborates with ATI in analysis of students' progress in course work and make necessary adjustments to courses as needed for student success Assist the Campus Support Center Director of Nursing with faculty development Support Campus Director of Nursing and faculty with delivering curriculum with fidelity Teach at the campus level as needed to meet organizational goals.
Creation of curriculum for planned future allied health and nursing programs All other duties as assigned.

Must be able to effectively lead, motivate, and manage staff and teams.
Must be reliable with strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Must be resourceful and able to problem solve; strong initiative and solid judgment required.
Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Must be proficient with basic office equipment, computers, and computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse Master's degree required Teaching experience at a secondary level or higher required WORKING / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; and have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a phone, computer keyboard and other office equipment.
