**Overview:**
Join our team as a Director of Development and become a pivotal part of our philanthropic efforts. We are seeking a strategic and resourceful leader to spearhead our development initiatives, ensuring effective management of philanthropic data, optimizing donor engagement strategies, and leading successful fundraising campaigns. Your role will be critical in nurturing relationships and fostering a culture of generosity that supports our mission.
**Key Responsibilities:**
*Development Operations:*
- Lead and refine comprehensive direct marketing strategies, meticulously managing budgets, timelines, and vendor partnerships.
- Strategically expand our supporter base and revenue streams.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to cultivate a strategic donor pipeline and enhance donor engagement.
- Seek out and foster relationships with grant-making entities, managing the entire lifecycle of grant acquisition.
- Establish and execute an annual development plan, ensuring transparency and progress tracking towards financial objectives.
- Maintain oversight of tax credit programs and ensure compliance with relevant philanthropic partnerships.
*Grants Management:*
- Guide a dedicated grants team in identifying funding opportunities and crafting compelling grant proposals.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of grant funders, ensuring effective communication and reporting.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal teams for program budgeting and impact reporting.
*Philanthropy Data Strategy:*
- Partner with the Philanthropy Database Manager to optimize fundraising database integrity and functionality.
- Leverage data insights to enhance donor relations and maintain a robust donor pipeline.
- Generate consistent and accurate reports to inform philanthropy strategies and decision-making.
*Leadership and Team Development:*
- Provide mentorship and professional development for the Development Operations team.
- Drive alignment between different giving programs and philanthropic communications.
- Foster a philanthropic culture across the organization, engaging staff, volunteers, and board members in fundraising endeavors.
- Contribute to the organization's leadership discussions and strategic planning.
*Community Engagement and Networking:*
- Actively participate in relevant fundraising networks, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Support the Marketing and Communications team with content for various platforms.
- Promote a team culture that supports professional growth and contributes to the organization's vision.
**Qualifications:**
- A Bachelor's degree coupled with at least 7 years of proven success in fundraising and donor management.
- A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience with budget management and fundamental fundraising ethics.
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools, particularly Raiser's Edge NXT.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational abilities, adept at multitasking and meeting deadlines with precision.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
**Work Schedule:**
- Primarily Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to work remotely according to policy.
- Availability for occasional weekends, evenings, and potential overnight travel for meetings.

Salary: $ 95,000.00 170,000.00 Per Year
