Job Summary:
As the Director of Development, you will spearhead our efforts to secure sustainable funding through donor relations and strategic fundraising initiatives. You will focus on building and maintaining relationships with donors, enhancing public awareness, and supporting our mission of music education and therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to increase donor engagement and retention, excluding grant writing.
Work with the Executive Director to cultivate relationships with new and existing donors, including individual and corporate supporters.
Coordinate fundraising campaigns and initiatives, assessing their effectiveness and adapting strategies as needed.
Prepare and deliver presentations and reports on development activities to the Board of Directors and executive management.
Manage the development budget responsibly to ensure efficient use of funds.
Plan and execute fundraising events and promotional activities to increase funding and awareness.
Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements associated with fundraising activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Non-Profit Management, Communications, or a related field. Or 3 years of proven experience in a similar position.
Proven track record in fundraising and donor management, specifically outside of grant writing.
Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with Office 365 and a CRM software
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Familiarity with fundraising databases and financial reporting.
