JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for building and maintaining digital products to help these companies along, accelerate their decarbonization journey, and provide reliable sustainability data as a "single-source-of-truth" across the enterprise, augmented with best-in-class analytics and optimized tooling to help them successfully navigate the complexity of decarbonization.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead a world-class distributed team constructing and integrating intuitive web platforms leveraging big data and analytical technologies.Define the long-term technical vision and strategy to deliver it in a way that will rally and inspire the organization around the shared vision for success.Establish and track clear, useful metrics to stay focused on the most important things, ask the right questions and continuously improve.Ensure high quality code by creating and enforcing technical standards and quality assurance processes while managing the quality assurance teams.Partner closely with product managers and designers to understand requirements and prioritize work into an Engineering Roadmap as a team.Drive technical and business operational excellence overseeing the platforms DevOps function.At ENGIE, our goal is to support, promote, and thrive on diversity, equity, and inclusion. PAY RANGE: $108,800-182,850
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Additional ENGIE benefits include a 401k plan, paid time off and annual bonus.

JOB FAMILY: IT – Software Engineering
FLSA CLASS: Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.Experience: 5+ years of experience in SaaS software engineering.Experience with modern web development and web-scale architectures.7+ years of experience leading and managing an engineering team, including hiring and performance management.Passion and proven success in test automation and DevOps.A proven track record of delivering technology products on time, on schedule, and on budget.Successful experience with a full product life cycle using Agile methodologies.Detail oriented and data minded.Ability to collaborate, mentor, learn from other engineers, and treat colleagues with empathy and respect.Skills/Abilities: Strong English communication and interpersonal skills with team members and management both in-person and remote.Effectively work and contribute as part of a global team and collaborate with stakeholders outside of Engineering.Familiar with Cloud technologies (AWS).Energy and/or ESG familiarity a plus.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid in 2024 with three days per week onsite.REQUIRED PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Business Unit: GBU Energy Solutions
