SUMMARY: As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for building and maintaining digital products to help companies accelerate their decarbonization journey and provide reliable sustainability data as a single-source-of-truth across the enterprise, augmented with best-in-class analytics and optimized tooling.

Lead a world-class distributed team constructing and integrating intuitive web platforms leveraging big data and analytical technologies.Define the long-term technical vision and strategy to inspire the organization around the shared vision for success.Establish and track clear, useful metrics to focus on important objectives and drive continuous improvement.Ensure high-quality code by creating and enforcing technical standards and quality assurance processes.Partner closely with product managers and designers to understand requirements and prioritize work into an Engineering Roadmap.Drive technical and business operational excellence overseeing the platform's DevOps function.At ENGIE, our goal is to support, promote, and thrive on diversity, equity, and inclusion for the benefit of our employees and community. The pay range for this role is: $108,800 - $182,850, based on several factors including background, experience, and skills.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Position Reports to: Head of Digital
Direct Reports: Digital experience technical leads
JOB FAMILY: IT – Software Engineering
FLSA CLASS: Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.Experience: 5+ years of experience in SaaS software engineering.Experience with modern web development and web-scale architectures.7+ years of experience leading and managing an engineering team.Proven success in test automation and DevOps.Track record of delivering technology products on time and on budget.Experience with full product life cycle using Agile methodologies.Detail-oriented and data-minded.Ability to collaborate, mentor, and treat colleagues with respect.Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Skills/Abilities: Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to effectively work as part of a global team.Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS).Energy and/or ESG familiarity is a plus.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid in 2024 with three days per week onsite.
