Job Description
As Director of Engineering, you will oversee a small to medium-sized team of Electrical Engineers who design and build PLC-based electronic control systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and supervising a team of engineers
Coordinating project workflow, including estimating hours, ordering parts, and managing timelines
Developing and customizing PLC-based systems
Communicating with cross-functional teams, including sales, manufacturing, accounting, and upper-level management
Designing and building PLC-based systems with ladder logic programming, data acquisition, and networking experience
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Math, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
Formal training or experience with PLC-based electronic control systems
Experience with PLC programming languages like ladder logic
Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Profibus, Modbus)
Familiarity with SQL Server or other SQL-based databases
Experience with electrical schematics using AutoCAD
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
