Montage is looking for a Director of Finance with the expertise and critical ability necessary to successfully manage the agency's accounting and financial responsibilities. Qualified candidates will have the experience and attention todetail needed tolead the organization's financial processes and associated platforms.
This is a full-time, exempt position working a hybrid schedule at Montage's Rockville, MD office, and the employee's home office. The anticipated annual salary for this position is $95,000 – $105,000.

About the RoleThe Director of Finance will be responsible for oversight of the agency's financial policies, accounting, processing, reporting and controls. Working closely with leadership, the Director of Finance will be responsible for the successful management of the agency's finance department and team including all functional areas within.
Qualifications7–10 years of experience in finance/accounting, requiredCertified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA), required (CPA preferred)Experience working with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)'s approved financial systems, required. Unanet experience strongly preferredFederal government or government contracting experience requiredPersonnel management experience requiredDuties and ResponsibilitiesDepartment Management Accountable for adherence to the agency's financial policies, planning, reporting and controlsOversee financial functions that may include accounting, budget, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payrollCreate functional strategies and specific objectives for the finance department and teamSupport development and management of budgets/policies/procedures to ensure the functional infrastructure of the agency. Monitor progress/changes; and report on required financial milestonesSupport the development and management of the department's budgetAnalyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely mannerClearly communicate monthly and annual financial reports; collate financial reporting materials and oversee all financial projects/programsOversee payroll and payroll liabilitiesEnsure efficient functioning and documentation for all financial systems including receipts, disbursements, billing, bookkeeping, budgeting and accountingImplement a robust contracts management and financial management/reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirementsAdminister the company's joint venture financial operations, reporting, and administrationTeam Management Direct, oversee, and manage team assignmentsEngage company tools and techniques to effectively manage teamCollaborate with team to assess the performance of the strategies and provide guidance to optimize resultsTrain, mentor, and develop team membersSupport cross-departmental communication and collaboration amongst the teamKnowledge, Skills and Other Abilities In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), laws and best practicesSolid knowledge of financial analysis and forecastingProficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (Unanet experience strongly preferred)Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational planningExcellent organizational and leadership skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesProven ability to lead finance department and individualsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient mannerOutstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make important decisions under pressureExpert problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-makerWhy Montage?Because we're a diverse team of collaborative creatives—people who care as deeply about each other as we do about our work.
