Overview
The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for leading the financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis processes. This role involves providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to drive the company's financial performance and support decision-making. The Director of FP&A will work closely with various departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Forecasting:

Develop and manage the company's annual budget and long-term financial plans.

Lead the forecasting process, including monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.

Analyze and interpret financial results, identifying trends and variances, and providing actionable insights.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior management and the board of directors.

Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business cases.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on financial performance.

Strategic Support and Business Partnering:

Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop financial strategies and business plans.

Provide financial guidance and support for major projects, investments, and operational improvements.

Act as a key advisor to senior management on financial matters, risk management, and business strategy.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead and mentor the FP&A team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Develop and implement training programs to enhance the team's skills and capabilities.

Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the finance department and across the organization.

Process Improvement and Systems Management:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities.

Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of financial systems and tools.

Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA/CFA preferred).

Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior management and other stakeholders.

Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.

Experience with financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the healthcare/dental sector.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
