As a Director of Fleet Charging at SparkCharge, you will be responsible for overseeing the deployment, management, and expansion of our mobile charging services. You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of our mobile charging units to customers, optimizing operations, and driving the strategic growth of this key business segment. This position requires a strong blend of operational expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision to enhance our service offerings and support our growth objectives.
The Company: SparkCharge is a fast-growing cleantech start-up that is reducing barriers to Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption. We design, manufacture, and sell portable, Level 3 charging systems for EVs. We also provide "Mobile Charging-as-a-Service" (MCaaS) through our "SparkCharge Mobile" network, which allows EV owners and businesses to schedule an EV charge delivery to wherever their vehicle is located. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management : Lead and manage the mobile charging team, including operations, logistics, and field team. Ensure the team is aligned with company goals and delivers exceptional service.
Operational Efficiency : Oversee the daily operations of the mobile charging fleet, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of charging units to customers. Implement processes and systems to optimize operational performance.
Strategic Planning : Develop and execute strategies to expand the mobile charging service, including identifying new market opportunities, optimizing service delivery, and scaling operations.
Customer Experience : Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring high-quality service delivery and resolving any operational issues promptly. Work closely with the customer success team to address customer needs and feedback.
Fleet Management : Manage the maintenance, deployment, and tracking of mobile charging units. Ensure all units are operating at peak efficiency and reliability.
Partnership Development : Collaborate with partners, including solar energy providers and logistics companies, to enhance service capabilities and expand our network.
Financial Management : Oversee budgeting and financial planning for the mobile charging division. Monitor expenses and profitability to ensure financial goals are met.
Data-Driven Decision Making : Utilize data analytics to monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all mobile charging operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
Experience : Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management, logistics, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of the EV charging industry, logistics, and renewable energy.
Leadership Skills : Proven track record of leading and managing teams to achieve operational excellence and strategic goals.
Operational Expertise : Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations, optimize processes, and improve efficiency.
Customer Focus : Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing the customer experience.
Strategic Vision : Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and operational improvements.
Financial Acumen : Experience with budgeting, financial planning, and managing P&L responsibilities.
Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
Communication : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Education : Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
