Their work will impact and change future generations! Girl Scouts of Central California South (GSCCS) is looking for a dynamic Girl Experience Manager to join our team in Bakersfield, CA!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Chief Mission Delivery Officer, this role creates and oversees the entire Girl Scout Leadership Experience for girls in the Central Valley and surrounding communities. The Director is responsible for the annual planning and implementation of council-led girl programs, ensuring GSCCS events are consistent with Girl Scouts of the USA guidelines and is driven with significant input from Girl Scouts, Troop and Service Unit Leaders, and the Council Leadership Team.

The Director of Girl Experience manages and directs all phases of the program implementation including developing an integrated execution plan, budgeting and goals, mapping out and coordinating logistical support, staff and volunteer management, ensuring adherence to safety and risk management guidelines, vendor relationships, maintaining materials and inventory, development of program and training materials, and delivery of presentations and trainings. The Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, scheduling, and strategic development of the Girl Scout Innovation Center, a dynamic and innovative space designed to inspire and empower girls through STEM, arts, leadership, and community service activities. The Director will ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where girls can explore their interests, develop new skills, and build confidence.

The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is a collection of engaging, challenging, and fun activities focused on four areas of skill development:
Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)
Outdoors
Life Skills (including Civic Advocacy)
Entrepreneurship
Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, coordinate, and deliver quality, Girl Scout Leadership Experience events and curricula that help Girl Scouts of Central California South attract and retain girls and volunteers. This includes developing curriculum, directly delivering programs, and providing girl training.
Develop and cultivate relationships with identified program partners and organizations that expand Girl Scouts' visibility and provide additional program opportunities for girl members. Coordinate support for identified partners, including developing curriculum that supports the GLSE, managing promotion, all event logistics, and serve as the primary contact to program partners to ensure an outstanding partnership experience;
Identity and assist in promoting the Girl Scout Innovation Center to external partners to increase revenue.
Initiate and maintain a calendar of daily programmatic reservations at the Innovation Center; oversee the day-to-day operations of the Innovation Center, including staff scheduling, program space maintenance, and other needs as they arise;
Create an inclusive space that welcomes external organizations and the Central Valley community to the Girl Scout Innovation Center in order to increase engagement and revenue;
Develop and implement new experience-based programming that aligns with organizational and Innovation Center specific strategic goals.
Serve as a thought leader for girl program opportunities, meeting the demands of changing girl interests. Maintain proficiency in girl/adult trends, multicultural data and demographics, marketing and sales techniques, effective communication and knowledge of communities and organizations.
Managing the Girl Experience team, supporting each other in creating and delivering the best programming for girls.
Implements financial literacy and other innovative program activities related to the product sales program that highlights the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and outcomes.
Utilizes the council's customer relationship management software, (Salesforce).
INTERDEPARTMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Determines ways to streamline and improve the programs processes and works in a highly collaborative cross-departmental fashion, supporting girl and adult membership goals.
Assists with the tactical phases of the Council planning process in developing integrated operating objectives, actions steps, and related budgets; manages and controls department budgets and plan of work.
Ensure internal policies, procedures, and deadlines are met by the Girl Experience department, including budgeting and time-keeping deadlines.
Manages the effective development and retention of high performing staff and volunteers.
Ensures the skills and competencies of staff and volunteers are deployed appropriately to achieve successful results.
Participates as a member of the Council Leadership Team.
Works with Marketing and Communications on the design of promotional materials, branded merchandise and the dissemination of sales and product information through appropriate council communication channels.
Works with Development Team to identity grant opportunities, in-kind gifts, and corporate sponsorships to support GSCCS programming.
Supports the strategic priorities of the council.
Performs other duties as assigned.
