Dynamic and detail-oriented to oversee and enhance our relationships with insurance carriers. Ensuring smooth operations, effective communication, and mutually beneficial partnerships with our carrier network is essential. The individual will manage carrier contracts, negotiate terms, resolve issues, and work closely with internal teams to optimize carrier performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Carrier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, serving as the primary point of contact for all carrier-related matters.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with carriers, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor carrier performance, including service levels, pricing, and claims processing, and work with carriers to address any issues or areas for improvement.
Issue Resolution: Act as a liaison between carriers and internal teams to resolve any operational, billing, or service-related issues promptly and effectively.
Collaboration: Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and other departments to ensure that carrier partnerships align with the company's strategic goals and customer needs.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze carrier performance data and prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing carrier relationships.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, carrier offerings, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for new partnerships or improvements in existing relationships.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure all carrier contracts and operations comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Carrier Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new carriers, including contract execution, system integration, and training on company processes.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to developing the company's carrier strategy, identifying opportunities to expand the carrier network and enhance service offerings.
Risk Management: Assess risks associated with carrier relationships and propose strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the company's interests are protected.
Mergers and Acquisitions and Partnership Integration: Guide and support carrier code consolidation creation to streamline access and reporting.
Licensing and Logins: Manage carrier access for all new and existing employees and ensure that appropriate access is maintained.
Employment & Educational Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPCU, ARM) is a plus.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in insurance carrier relations, partnership management, or a related role within the insurance industry.
