About Us Rho is on a mission to make finance frictionless for businesses. Our team and technology power high-performing companies with an end-to-end finance platform that seamlessly enables teams to safely conduct and manage company cash and spending across commercial-grade banking, corporate cards, A/P, and more.

About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and action-oriented Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department into its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong bias for action and a sense of urgency. You will be responsible for evolving our IT function into a seamless operation that supports our company's rapid growth, global presence, and technological needs.

Responsibilities:  Infrastructure Management (software & hardware): Design, monitor, and maintain scalable IT systems, overseeing device and software provisioning. Manage MDM solutions (e.g. Kandji) and office/conference room setups. Given Rho's global presence, you will be responsible for standing up, managing, and maintaining world-class hybrid-meeting AV infrastructure.  Identity & Access Management: Oversee account provisioning and de-provisioning, implement access controls, and management permissions to safeguard information across Rho's software applications and tools (Okta). Security Implementation & Training: Develop and enforce security protocols (including security training), ensuring the integrity of sensitive company data. Maintain awareness of compliance requirements (SOC 2, PCI, etc) and lead relevant audits/initiatives. IT Operational Excellence: Implement and continuously improve IT processes, systems, and services to drive innovation and efficiency, measured by an internal NPS of 70+ and 90%+ compliance with project SLAs. Vendor & Resource Management: Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and IT resource allocation to optimize performance, cost, and compliance. Conduct thorough due diligence – including security, data privacy, and compliance assessments – of vendors. Oversee hardware and software installations and upgrades. AI & Technology Integration: Leverage AI and emerging technologies to automate processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support troubleshooting and IT ticket management. End-User Support: Provide technical support and training to employees, enhancing their ability to use technology effectively.  Documentation and continuous improvement: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, data backup, and recovery procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting against data loss. Continuously improve processes and procedures to drive operational excellence.  Team Leadership: Lead IT support staff of 3 team members globally - 1 in NY and 2 in Serbia - fostering a culture of excellence, while providing technical support and training to employees to enhance their technology utilization. Network Infrastructure: Manage office networks, VPN solutions, and other networking equipment. Qualifications: Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, or a related field is typically required.  Experience: At least 8+ years of IT leadership and 3+ years of IT management. Experience in high-growth fintech or startup environments, especially those within regulated industries (e.g. PCI, HIPAA), is strongly preferred.  Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, or security-related) are advantageous.  Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of IT systems, networks, MDM solutions (e.g., Kandji), user provisioning (Okta), JIRA administration, Google Workspace, and security best practices is essential.  Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, organizational, and communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration within the team. Our people are our most valuable asset. The salary range for this role is $170,000-200,000 plus equity. Base salary may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, and business needs. The role is based in Manhattan, New York, and requires in-office presence and working US EST hours at least 5 days a week (between 9am-6pm ET).

Diversity is a core value at Rho. We're passionate about building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable environment for all those involved with our mission, including employees, contractors, candidates, customers, and vendors. We believe every member of the Rho community enriches our ability to provide a broad range of ways to understand and engage with the market, identify problems, and drive solutions that align with our mission.
