Job SummaryWe are seeking a Director of Manufacturing who will be responsible for overseeing the production operations of Brillouin Energy. This position focuses on ensuring manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with quality and safety standards. The Director of Manufacturing plays a key role in strategic planning, process improvement, and team leadership to drive operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of clean energy.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:Strategic Planning: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives. Evaluate and refine production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability.Operational Management: Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Monitor production schedules, workflows, and resource utilization.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production managers, engineers, and staff. Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and high performance.Supplier Monitoring: Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other partners. Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and identify new suppliers as needed.Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality policies. Develop and enforce quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.Budget Administration: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial targets.Equipment and Technology Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and technology. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance production capabilities.Safety and Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the manufacturing environment. Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards. Conduct regular safety audits and training programs.Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Engineering and Finance, to ensure seamless operations and alignment with business goals.Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports to senior management on manufacturing performance, key metrics, and areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES - REQUIREDEducation: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations management, with a proven track record of leadership in a senior manufacturing role.Skills:Expertise in manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.Proficiency in budget management, financial analysis, and performance metrics.Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control practices.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Brillouin Energy Corp. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
