POSITION SUMMARY: A strong self-starter with experience managing top-tier consumer brands with new product marketing and strategic campaigns, with an emphasis on digital campaigns, that target boys 8 - 14. Candidates should have solid business acumen, cross-functional leadership skills, the ability to multi-task numerous projects, be a team player, and desire to manage the world's No. 1 TCG. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Marketing Manager to develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the marketing of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG), including, but not limited to target market identification and analysis, budgeting, and category and competitive analysis, with a focus on new user acquisition and ROI. Oversee annual budgets for Marketing within Card Business. Oversee inter-departmental collaboration with Organized Play, Sales, Digital Marketing, and R&D to ensure KDE-US Marketing efforts are focused on growing brand awareness, driving franchise relevancy, and supporting audience growth across Yu-Gi-Oh! titles. Coordinate with the EU branch on all joint marketing initiatives including but not limited to; Content Creator activations, use of assets from both prizing and for sale items, use of TVCM and other KDE-US created assets. Work with EU branch Marketing on budgeting for shared agencies and resources such as Asana, etc. Coordinate with the Digital Team to ensure Digital Marketing efforts are being cross-promoted with TCG Marketing whenever possible. Work with Sales & Marketing to develop retailer promotions and trade advertising. Work with Marketing Manager, Marketing Video producer/editor, and R&D to create compelling content (both written and video) to maximize a cohesive marketing message and increase sell-through. Set campaign KPIs and own the measurement and evaluation processes. Work with Digital Product Marketing Team, Marketing Manager, Online Manager, and Senior Social Media Specialist on social media to create online and social media marketing campaigns, to create buzz, maximize exposure and sell-through of all physical and digital titles. Keep abreast of digital trends and develop strategies with the wider team to capitalize on new trends to drive the business. Work with the Digital Product Marketing, Director of Organized Play, and Online Manger to ensure the Yu-Gi-Oh! website has the most up-to-date information and is promoting the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Events and Digital Titles. Work with Marketing Manager to grow the Yu-Gi-Oh! Content Creator program. Ensure there is communication with the Digital Marketing team for their use of official Yu-Gi-Oh! Content Creators and other influencers and ensuring that all Content Creators in the program are compliant with the guidelines within the program. Work with Marketing Manager to ensure the placement of online, print and TV advertising and the development of key assets including ad copy, scripts and editorial messaging is completed and campaign reporting is submitted on time with ROI details. Ensure reporting and analysis of all marketing activities are submitted on a timely basis. Work with Marketing Manager to craft integrated marketing plans with other licensees. Work with Director of Organized Play to make sure all OP activities are properly promoted. Work with Director Organized Play, Event and Organized Play Manager, and Marketing Manager for trade and consumer show participation, including the creation of promotional items, maximizing key marketing messages and strategy. Lead analysis of competitor marketing and share insights back with internal stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS required. MBA preferred. A minimum of 7 years' experience marketing to kids required. Knowledge of, or the willingness to learn the intimate workings of Card Business TCGs, including gameplay, REQUIRED. Enthusiasm for and knowledge of the collectible or trading card games required. Ability to work with limited supervision. The Director will work independently or with a cross-functional team to complete assignments. S/he should not need detailed instruction to achieve objectives. Personal initiative and sound business judgment required to identify, evaluate, and respond to business needs. Strong presentation skills. Good oral and written communications skills. Proven ability to work with various personality types and work styles in a multicultural environment. Expert with MS office suite (Power Point, Excel, Word).
