Director Of Nursing - Full Time (Moanalua)

Summary of Position: Shifts available: Varied shifts; must be available on call 24/7, as needed. We're searching for an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team!

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership attributes to provide clinical oversight and supervision to our nursing and care staff team members. The DON is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall functions of our nursing departments in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to ensure the highest degree of quality care is provided to The Plaza residents at all times.

Responsibilities: Plan, implement, and supervise the nursing department. Interview, hire, supervise, evaluate, and counsel resident care staff. Conduct regular ongoing care staff meetings and in-services. Establish time schedules for resident care staff on each shift in accordance with budget. Assure prompt, appropriate action in cases of injury, illness, fire, or other emergencies. Perform assessments in coordination with Administrator and marketing staff on each resident prior to admission. Assign residents to appropriate levels of care and ensure re-assessments are conducted within regulatory timelines. Ensure physicians and family members are apprised of changes in residents' conditions and hold family/resident representative care conferences consistently. Starting Salary is $85,000 per year; negotiable based on experience.
