Job Title: Director of Nursing (Assisted Living)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to join our team, an esteemed Assisted Living Community. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care and clinical operations within our community, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained for our residents.
Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, ensuring optimal staffing levels and adequate training and development opportunities Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices Collaborate with other members of the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving resident outcomes and satisfaction Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Oversee medication management and ensure that all medications are administered safely and in accordance with physician orders Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure open communication and effective care coordination Monitor quality assurance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed to enhance the overall quality of care provided Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and retention of nursing staff, conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback as necessary Stay current on industry trends and best practices in assisted living and long-term care nursing, attending relevant conferences and continuing education programs Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of MN. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Assisted Living, with at least 1 year of leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of assisted living regulations and standards of care. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant software applications.
