Job DescriptionA client in the Southern California area is looking for a Business Development Director of Operations to join their team. This candidate will oversee all proposal and contracting processes, including leading contract negotiations, assisting in capture planning and win strategy, leading technical proposal writing, and developing proposal compliance matrixes. This candidate will be responsible for running all behind-the-scenes operations of Business Development, apart from the actual identification of opportunities. This includes extensive proposal writing, a thorough understanding of DFARS/TINA, proposal planning/scheduling, and on-time proposal delivery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience within Defense/Aerospace contracting, primarily supporting through a BD, technical writing, or capture management function.
It is strongly preferred that this candidate comes from an Engineering or Technical background and has been Business Development focused for the last 10-15 years. This role will require occasional travel to customer sites.
Pay Range: $175K-$220K with Bonus Opportunities. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Minimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field (Master's Preferred)15 years of experience minimum in Business Development within Defense and Aerospace Contracting10 years minimum of technical proposal writing and capture management5 years minimum of leading successful proposal development efforts and implementing software, tools, templates, and resources for successful captureProven experience in implementing levels of Shipley Proposal Process into new organizationsStrong understanding of FAR/DFAR/TINA regulationsProven track record of successfully managing the operations side of business development to technically develop winning proposals within the defense or aerospace industryAbility to obtain a secret clearanceApply as a Guest Not ready for a commitment yet?
