Summary:
This position is responsible for directing all our client's manufacturing activities and ensuring that the Operations department aligns with the company's short-term and long-term strategic goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Execute our client's strategic plan consistent with short and long-term objectives.Provide management and oversight to ensure that systems are in place and effective to support customer requirements for service, delivery, quality, and technical support.
This includes staffing, capital expense, human resources, system qualifications and policies and procedures.Understand overall our client's manufacturing capability and implement a plan to capture measurable savings while improving quality and delivery.Responsible for manufacturing output to meet or exceed company targets such as on-time delivery, productivity, quality, safety, service, and other key performance indicators.Establish and support the development of and in compliance with standard operating procedures and departmental processes that comply with ISO and AS9100 requirements (Ex.
Manufacturing procedures, product traceability, equipment calibration, ESD/FOD procedures, etc)Responsible for ensuring the profitability of the company through efficient manufacturing best practices in coordination with Engineering, Program Management, and Finance departments.Lead, coach, and provide constructive feedback to direct reports through communication regarding performance, quality requirements, and safe work behaviors.
Responsible for supervision and oversight of assembly staff, technicians, operations engineering, program management, including hiring decisions, review and approval of project time charging, performance evaluations, and progressive discipline as necessary.Implement Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing throughout our client's enterprise.
Support business development activities, including potential acquisitions, manufacturing capacity/capabilities, and creation of new products.Lead operations integration of acquired companies and lines of business. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Advanced degree in a related field preferred.Minimum of 8-10 years of manufacturing operations or equivalent experience required.At least three years of experience managing and supervising staff is required.Experience in ISO or AS9100 environment preferred.Understanding of shipping and receiving, ITAR and import/export trade compliance, and FAR/DFAR regulations in a federal government contracting or DoD environment.Lean Six Sigma Certification from an accredited institution is desirable and required within six months of hired.Familiarity with ERP and/or MRP Systems is required.
Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.Travel: 10-20%, domestic and international.
