Director of Operations - Healthcare Practice An esteemed Orthopedic and Physical Therapy Practice, with a widespread presence across Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia, seeks a proactive and dynamic Director of Operations for their fast-paced, high-volume healthcare practice headquartered in Washington, D.C. This crucial position acts as the practice's CEO and is directly responsible for overseeing daily operations, financial management, and staff supervision while driving organizational growth and ensuring comprehensive support to the physicians.
Salary: DOE per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Direct and coordinate all practice functions, ensuring seamless operations and high standards of patient care.Oversee daily operations including coverage plans and workflow optimizations to enhance efficiency.Actively participate in executive support to a group of physicians aiming to meet and exceed operational and financial objectives.Manage financial aspects of the Division, ensuring operational efficiency and strict adherence to budgetary guidelines and financial policies.Ensure all practice activities comply with regulatory mandates, including the credentialing of professional and licensed staff, and adhere to both Medicare and payer-specific regulations.Create and maintain a supportive and positive work environment for all staff and health care providers.Conduct thorough monitoring and evaluation of practice activities to guarantee the delivery of professional medical care.Offer leadership and direction to all staff, both clinical and administrative, including comprehensive performance evaluations and professional development opportunities.Efficiently resolve issues related to staffing, facility utilization, and the management of equipment and supplies.Enforce strict compliance with government regulations and industry standards, updating policies as needed to remain compliant.Maintain meticulously organized documentation processes and records management.Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.A minimum of 10 years' experience in practice administration and management, preferably within orthopedics or a similar medical setting.Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and inspire a large team.Substantial knowledge and experience in navigating healthcare regulatory environments and compliance requirements.Demonstrated proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and operational efficiency.Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience in managing a high-volume Orthopedic, Medical, or Surgical practice.Hands-on experience with Digital Marketing Outreach programs to support practice growth and outreach efforts.Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Advanced organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and medical practice management software.Benefits: Competitive salary and bonus structure.Comprehensive health insurance coverage including medical, dental, and vision.Retirement plans with employer contributions.Generous paid time off including holidays, vacation, and personal days.Continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
