Job Details
Management of Manufacturing Operations
Plans, schedules, organizes, and staffs manufacturing and manufacturing support functions.
Assures that all groups within the manufacturing organization are properly staffed and coordinated; and that personnel in each group are properly qualified, directed, and trained to perform their duties effectively.
Interprets company sales forecasts and shop orders and establishes accurate manufacturing plans to assure that our customer's requirements are met, that is, defect-free products on time.
Coordinates with Engineering, Sales, and new product development engineering to maintain an awareness of current and future product plans.
Develops and manages material control, manufacturing control, production scheduling, and planning systems to ensure the achievement of output schedules that will meet company sales requirements.
Maintains material and parts inventories which are adequate to ensure the fulfillment of production schedules with minimum inventory expense.
Plans and develops manufacturing facilities and equipment for efficient production of products.
Works with tooling/engineering to investigate product quality and manufacturing problems and determine the most cost-efficient solutions.
Develops and assists with the annual budget of all departments; develops and is responsible for all standard costs.
Recommends pricing based on the profit objective of the company.
Responsible for the profit and loss of the division.
Meets or exceeds all TQM measurements as agreed upon annually.
Is a member of the executive team and steering team which are responsible for the development of company policies and plans.
Participates with other top managers in the development of company business policies as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
8-10 years of precision manufacturing experience including some experience in molding.
(5 years in a management role).
Strong leadership skills.
Should have a working knowledge of computerized manufacturing systems.
